Sevilla, Spain

On January 16, 2011 I will be departing for Sevilla! I can't wait, unfortunately I still have almost 5 weeks until I leave. As of now I will be there until May 13th, but I'm hoping to be able to travel around Europe for a few weeks after. All of my classes will be taken in Spanish. I don't know what my classes are for sure until I get there but I'm hoping for a literature and a history because those would fill some requirements I need for my journalism major back at University of Oregon. I will also probably take a Spanish grammar/language class, and then I will take one other random class. The first 2 weeks I am there I take an intensive Spanish language class that is only one intense class for a few hours everyday. I'm hoping this will give me time to become comfortable with the city. My classes will be at the CIEE study center, and I will be living in a home stay. I won't find out my living situation until I arrive in Spain. For the break I'm just going to try and practice my spanish with some online websites, and also just read my guide books I bought about Spain.

"If you live your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you."

If you haven't done so already, I strongly encourage every single person to read this book. Purchase it, and read it agin a few months later to remind yourself of its lessons. I think anyone after the age of 18 can appreciate it. Randy Pausch was a lecturer at Carnegie Mellon and one day he learns that he is dying. This book reminds everyone to live each day to the fullest, and try to achieve all of your dreams. One of my favorite quotes of all times is from this book (the title of this post). I promise it will change your perspective on how to live your life.

Blog Amateur

This is my very first post on my blog and I have to admit I have no idea what I'm doing. For the next month while I'm on winter break, waiting anxiously to go to Spain, I'll probably just play around and post about anything I find interesting. Then, for the next few months I'm thinking the majority of my blog will be dedicated to my time abroad. For now, a few things on my mind are: bloglovin.com and olsensanonymous.blogspot.com. I truly am obsessed with both of these sites. Ashley has and always will be my idol, and the amount of blogs in the world today is unreal, it has become a new obsession. Also, to explain my images at the top, Disneyland is truly my favorite place in the whole entire world and I really think it will be forever. I feel as if the middle image explains itself, and the right one for now is just an image I found on a blog that I liked. I'm assuming those will change as time goes on, but for now they work. Personally I prefer more images and less text on blogs so I will probably post an image along with what I write each time. I love this picture because I'm going to be traveling very soon and I just wanted a fun image to start of my blog. I hope you enjoy!
